Restaurant Ode respects everyone’s privacy and shows in this privacy statement how we take our responsibility regarding your data. This statement has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on May 25, 2018.

Parties mentioned in this statement

• Restaurant Ode: hereinafter referred to as ‘we’ or ‘us’;
• Services: This includes visits to our restaurant, table reservations, private dining, website visits, information requests, and receiving newsletters;
• Visitor: Someone who visits our website or avails of a service from us.

Data to be processed

• Minimum required data: First and last name, email address, and phone number.
• Optional data: Company details if you act on behalf of a company, and information you provide during a reservation, such as dietary preferences or allergies.
• Payment data: Payments are processed through our payment service provider and, when a reservation requires a deposit or credit card guarantee, through our reservation system. Restaurant Ode does not store credit card numbers itself.

Purpose of processing We do not store your data without reason; they are necessary for:

• Performing the services;
• Executing payments;
• Contact in case of damage, violation, or loss.

Automated decision-making
Restaurant Ode does not make decisions through automated processes that could have significant consequences for individuals.

Data security
We take the following measures to protect your data:

• HTTPS protocol on our website;
• Secure servers with firewalls;
• Encrypted connections with our reservation and payment service providers;
• Training of our staff in handling data.

Data retention period
We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we received it. Data that is part of our administration, such as invoices and payment data, is kept for 7 years. This is the legal tax retention obligation. Other data, such as reservation data and newsletter sign-ups, will be deleted as soon as they are no longer needed or upon your request.

Visitor rights

• Access: You can request to view your data;
• Correction: We will correct data at your request;
• Right to be forgotten: We can anonymize your data upon request.

Sharing data with third parties
We enter into processing agreements with third parties who process your data on our behalf, to ensure equivalent security and confidentiality of your data.

Small text files on the visitor’s computer track the visitor’s browsing behavior. Restaurant Ode distinguishes between tracking cookies and functional cookies.

Restaurant Ode uses the following tracking cookies. Consent is requested for these cookies upon the first visit to the website:

• Google Analytics, loaded via Google Tag Manager: to measure the visit to the website. Your IP address is sent to Google in this process.

Functional cookies

Restaurant Ode uses the following functional cookies:

• Zenchef: for online table reservations. Zenchef places its own cookies and has its own privacy statement.

Additionally, our website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your IP address is sent to Google in this process. No cookies are placed for this.
